1823 (January 6th) Printed notice sent locally within Dublin and showing a black scroll type “CHARITY LETTER” (DF No.231) and endorsed “charitable Infirmary”, a fine strike of this extremely rare mkg, the is the finest of the two examples we have recorded thus far.Note: The 1918 Act (59 George III c 108) authorised special postage rates for single unsealed printed notices sent by Charitable Institutions within Ireland.
