1809 (June 3th) Folded entire from Kilkenny to Dublin showing a backstamp single circle MERMAID coded D/3JU3/ 1809 used for morning duty and on obverse a KILKENNY 57, rated 6 single, plus a second cover dated 1808 (November 28th) from Ballinasloe to Dublin showing a backstamp single circle tуре MERMAID coded A / 28 NO 28 / 1808 used for morning duty and on obverse a “B’ ASLOE / 72” mileage mark, rated 6 single, an attractive pair both showing superb example of the Mermaid strike and seldom seen in this quality (2).
