ONE OF THE MOST RARE STAMPS OF CLASSIC MEXICO NOT OFFERED IN AUCTION IN MANY YEARS
Mexico 7c lilac engraved used (consignment #3-1867, 400 issued in this consignment), cut into at left and top left, “FRANCO / MEXICO” cds dated January 9, 1867, thin of little important for such a rare stamp, only eight used examples are recorded (two of which the collector states to be in museums), one of the most rare and legendary stamps of classic Mexico, and a gem of this issue.
