Lot 10558 – Mexico 50c lithographed on cover

Mexico 50c green lithographed (consignment #43-1866), position 16 or 66 with dot between “RR” of “Correos” (the top two rows of the sheet of 70 being repeated at the bottom), three margins with frame line af adjoining stamp at base, on cover to Veracruz dated August 29, 1866, tied by “FRANCO / MEXICO” cds, some minor foxing and a small piece of backflap missing on reverse. A scarce usage of the 50c.
