Description
Mexico 25c lithographed dark orange (consignment 38-1866), fine to large margins (knocked corner), on cover from Zapotlán to Colima, previously used and successfully re-used out of Mexico district to defraud the post office, dated November 6, 1866 and tied by ovoid “ADMON DE CORREOS / DE ZAPOTLAN / EL GRANDE” hs (Schatzkès #442). Postal frauds are very hard to find, let alone on cover and this attractive. Catalogue ref: Scott 29
