Description
Campeche 13c blue and 25c buff (consignment #67-1866), and 25c orange lithographed (consignment #34), both well margined, tied by framed ds on maritime cover to Mexico City dated November 20, 1866, carried by steamer “Paris” to Veracruz and then by road to Mexico. The rate of 38c was valid but unusual. Very few covers have survived from this district. Catalogue ref: Scott 27, 28
