Description
Apam 25c orange lithographed (consignment #20-1866, 700 sent), two well margined examples on cover dated September 17, 1866 to Mexico, tied by “Correos Apam” negative cancel (Schatzkès #24). A high quadruple 50c rate. Apam was further from Mexico than the 16 leagues limit for a 13c rate, but it seemed to have had a special rate. Catalogue ref: Scott 29
