Description
1816 (July 30). Small entire letter from Río Branco to Barcelona, displaying three-line “Malaga/Andalucia/Baxa” and “Yndias” straight-line, both in red and applied in Málaga, the latter being unrecorded in catalogues. A rare origin for a transatlantic letter, of great significance by exhibiting an extremely rare “Yndias” postmark struck in Málaga. A most scarce origin for transatlantic mail.
