Description
1767 ca. Folded cover from Spain to Buenos Aires, conveyed via Cádiz as confirmed by the “España” postmark in red (Kouri type VII), rated “3 De Plata” (reales) with corresponding hs in same colour on reverse, both well and freshly struck. The letter was addressed to Domingo de Basavilbaso, Postmaster of Buenos Aires. One of the extremely few covers recorded exhibiting this combination of postmarks, both conceived to be used on transatlantic mail. Ex Kouri and Sitjà.
