Lot 10330 – 1877, “White Beard” group of 31 imperforate proofs

1877, “White Beard” – Proofs: group of 31 imperforate proofs with all denominations except for the 80r, including 10r with overprint “Specimen”, 200r in four imperforate colour proofs with huge margins probably originating from a single die and cancelled by pen strokes (one with Fevereiro certificate), 700r in block of four, etc; some examples with faults. A very rare assembly, with the “Barba Branca” proofs being scarcer than the “Barba Preta” ones.
