1878, 1,000r grey slate, strip of five, very fresh and with very good centring, with lower ABN margin imprint complete, cancelled by “Rio-de-Janeiro/4 Sept 86/(S.R.)” oval hs; perforation fully reinforced between the second and third stamps and portion of upper left corner missing; the largest strip recorded, this being unique with marginal imprint (as listed by Comelli).Provenance: Dr. de Amaral Machado.
