Description
(1843) “Bull’s Eyes” 60r, Sperati’s glass support cliché in black on white, fabulous detail of design, with notation “217”. Only 15 glass clichés are recorded for all “Bull’s Eyes”, all for the 60r denomination; no clichés or matrices are found in the Musée de la Poste of Paris and the B.P.A. does not mention any matrix or cliché for Brazil in its book. Additional scans and images are being uploaded on a continuous basis, and the complete set of illustrations for all lots will be available by 1 June 2026.
