1837 (Aug 30). Official cover from Caetete (BA) to Bahia, displaying fine to very fine strikes of “Caetete” straight line in brown, negative “R°DeContas” rectangle and “Cachoeira” straight line, the last two in black and applied in transit in the Province of Bahia. One of just two covers recorded exhibiting the Rio de Contas postmark, further enhanced by the combination with two additional scarce handstamps. (RHM $5,000+7,000+7,000).
