2pi Yellow, a horizontal pair used on tatty 1866 registered cover to a jeweller in Alexandria tied by 81 dot ‘retta’ in black with POSTE VICE-REALI EGIZIANE / CAIRO datestamp at right (June 20) and framed RACCOMANDATE handstamp of registration alongside, plus manuscript notation of registration number ‘2978’ at top, and ‘g. 11’ (grams) denoting above the single weight, some faults to both stamps and envelope but still a rare usage.

Rate: Four piastre rate being 2 piastres postage + 2 piastres for registration fee.
