Description
Puebla 8r lilac, a large margined quadrisect used on January 6, 1861 cover to Mexico, tied by datestamp on dispatch (Schatzkès #1153). Puebla rarely used splits in this issue. Only three are recorded in the 1972 Census, two being covers. Cert. Mepsi (1995). Scott $225 for a common district (this is not). Backstamped Bash. Ex Erich Koenig.
