Lot 20001 – Pre-Stamp Transatlantic two covers group

1840-49 Two transatlantic entire letters, the earlier from Veracruz to Lyon (France), forwarded via New York through the Reading Room and Foreign Letter Office in the Gilpin’s Exchange with corresponding markings in blue and red; the later from Puebla to Madrid, exhibiting the uncommon blue Indias marking, paying 5 reales on receipt (signed Sorani).
