1871, 100 mon blue, plate 1, intermediate printing, complete sheet of 40, including constant varieties in positions 3, 7 and 8 in the ornate surrounding the dragons, type R pinholes arrangement, unused without gum as issued, with wide margins all around. A pristine example of this rare first-issue sheet, in refulgent colour for exhibition. (JSCA ¥2,400,000).
