1855-56 Pedro V (straight hair) 50r in vert. strip of three, vert. pair and single and 1856-58 (curly hair) 25r block of twelve on cover from the French Consulate in Figueira da Foz to the consulate in Lisbon, with the 25r on the backflap which opens to display, stamps with mixed margins and some creasing as the be expected, with complete franking paying the internal letter rate of 600r (annotated at top right) for between 5 7/8oz and 6 1/8oz, cancelled by “87” circular cancels, half of top backflap missing, a striking cover and one of the highest frankings of this issue; cert. da Mota (2023); ex Morais Calado.
