1874 (Sep 6) envelope sent registered from San Fernando to St. Kitts with 1863-80 perf.12 1/2 1s emerald green pair tied by two strikes of “REGISTERED” hs and “2” cds, further strikes of both adjacent with “PAID” despatch, ms “Five Dollars” and initialled, reverse with pencil “Money all right. The note was too carefully enclosed with the letter to be taken out” and then sealed with five wax seals with the San Fernando post office seal, very fine and rare registered mail especially with stamps cancelled by the hs; ex T. V. Roberts and Sir John Marriott.
