1856 (Nov 20) Folded letter from Bolarum via Bombay to London, franked by cut-to-shape 4a blue and red (S.G. 19, 2nd printing, head die II, frame die I), tied by pen cross and “C/43” dotted diamond, alongside “Via Southampton” notation and crescent “INDIA PAID” pmk in red neatly struck, and London Paid. Bolarum double-arc ds on reverse. Probably sent from one of the British officers stationed in the Bolarum military camp.
