Description

1860s-1960s, Stock of British West Indies material housed in 2 counter books with plenty of decent material, ideal for breaking down. From Antigua we note early mint including SG 13w, 16, 21a (detached triangle, no gum), 27a (large ‘2’) and 30 with used SG 1 (crease), 29 and 90, Bahamas with early used including SG 18 with cert, mint with some KEVII, 1930 sets etc, 1921 to £1 and 1938 with numerous shades and papers, with Barbados including early types, mint SG 103, 180 and some 1938 varieties (SG 252a etc), used SG 144. From Br. Honduras we note early mint (mixed condition) incl. SG 7, 10c mint (no gum BPA Cert) and 21 (2), 1906 $5, SG 137 in corner marginal pair pl.1 and $5 SG 125, a little Dominica including 1903 to 5s used and Grenada, Jamaica with mint 1935 SG 117a, 1938 issues (+ 5s SG 132a used) and 1956 set, Montserrat with mint SG 5, 1b (2 examples, one defective with RPS, the other with APS Cert) and 6b (on piece). Useful early St. Lucia with mint SG 8x and 12x, also SG 52, 76 and 124, St. Vincent with early issues including mint SG 6, 44x (cert), 141 and 145L (‘Kite and horizontal log’, cat £500), Turks including mint SG 16, 55b ‘Throat’ flaw, 101x and 140a (RPS Cert), also a little Virgin Islands.
