1850 (Sept 17) Cover to Santiago from Vallenar by sea, addressed to a José Besa, shipped in Caldera with dispatch “Vallenar”, with straight line in red, and a “Franco” mark also in red indicating the cover was pre-paid, letter being charge 3 reales, with the straight line “Valparaiso” in red (S.F.C. MPF48c-2) and a “Cabotaje”, going by land from Valparaiso to Santiago, faint horizontal filing crease, scarce usage.
