Lot 20690 – 1923 Postcard from Kara-Agac (Thrace) carried thorugh the Orient Express line
1923 (Jan 9) Postcard from an Italian carabiniere at Kara-Agac (south of Edirne) on mission controlling the separations between Greeks and Turks, sent to Naples, consigned to the military courier of the Orient Express line as confirmed by the Constantinople 1 1/2pi on 10c pair and the Trieste cds, where it was “disembarked” from the train and the stamps were cancelled with blue crayon cross as it was not valid for franking in Italy, with arrival machine cancel at base. The only item recorded.
