Description

1923 An interesting group of 11 items mounted on exhibition pages, including usages on the first and last days of opening of the P.O. (the later bearing overprinted stamps), the three different types for the “Corfù/Poste Italiane”cds struck on piece of paper one day after the office was closed and with manuscript notation indicating their order from 1 to 3, frankings with Italy “Leoni”, two overprinted and non-overprinted 30c stationery cards used, Greek franking cancelled by the R. N. “San Marco” and the rare “Militari italiani a Corfù/Francatura a carico destinatario” postmark, as well as a mysterious postcard from Corfu franked with overprinted 15c but tied in Brindisi.
