1920 (Feb 26) Air Mail cover, Ross Smith England to Australia flight, envelope sent to Melbourne, bearing large blue event vignette cancelled by “First Aerial Mail / Received / Great Britain to Australia” oval cds, with additional strike to left, and a three line cachet in blue “Per Vickers Vimy Aeroplane to Australia” applied by Smith, a fine example of this rare cover; one of 364 flown, of which only 92 were to addresses in Melbourne and Victoria, cert.
