Danish West Indies: 1872 (Jul 14) Envelope from St Thomas to Portsea, franked with a 1s green (SG117) and 6d mauve (SG109) tied by the British Post Office abroad “C51” upright oval, endorsed “Via Panama”, dispatch cds on the back and Portsmouth arrival dated JY 29, very minor flaw to top right corner, an attractive combination cancelled by the scarcer C51 postmark.
