Danish West Indies: 1872 (Jul 14) Envelope from St Thomas to Portsea, franked with a 1s green (SG117) and 6d mauve (SG109) tied by the British Post Office abroad « C51 » upright oval, endorsed « Via Panama », dispatch cds on the back and Portsmouth arrival dated JY 29, very minor flaw to top right corner, an attractive combination cancelled by the scarcer C51 postmark.
