Description
1840 2d. deep blue, pl. 2, QE-QJ horizontal strip of five, good to very large margins showing portion of the adjoining stamp at right, used on entire letter from Glasgow to Edinburgh dated Nov 2. 1841, each impression neatly cancelled by a virtually complete upright strike of the black Maltese cross; filing fold at right, clear of the adhesives and not detracting from the very fresh appearance of this very rare multiple.
