1840 2d. blue, pl. 2, MI, large balanced margins all round, used on Money letter Registered from Mildenhall to Norwich, dated Fe 3 1842, cancelled by a good strike of the black Maltese Cross, rated 1/- in red manuscript and endorsed “Money Letter Registered” in black manuscript; the address panel restored though not detracting from the fine appearance of this very rare registered usage.
