1907, OHHS: 5m. rose and 1pi. blue, neatly tied on 1912 (4.2) large legal size registered official envelope from Giza to London, by GIZA (BRANCH)/4.2.12 cds with boxed registered hs alongside, envelope imprinted in Arabic “Government of the Khedive of Egypt” and initials for “On His Highness’ Services”. cover originates from the SURVEY DEPARTMENT which in 1925 took over the printing of the country’s stamps, a very fine and a scarce registered usage.
