English Silver Boxes: 1893 Birmingham silver and tortoiseshell stamp case and letter clip combined by Horton & Aliday, the tortoiseshell base mounted with a spring loaded filigree silver clip with central case attached opening to a single compartment with a tortoiseshell rod inside to hold the stamps; fine and most attractive. Very rare, being the first of this type we have seen.
