1871 (Jan 27) Cover from Santiago to Rome franked by 1867 5c red, tied by cork cancel with dispatch cds in blue in centre, red French transit , ms “14” tax paid with 1870-74 postage dues 40c & 1L on arrival, transits of Lisbon and Turin on reverse, very slight toning around perforation mentioned for accuracy, a rare usage; signed Bottacchi and Colla; ex Palumbo.
