JAPANESE OCCUPATION: 1942 (May) 1 1/2a turquoise-green, type 5 Peacock of Henzada in blue, with the OVERPRINT OMITTED from the top row of a mint top left corner marginal block of six (2×3), therefore with showing the error in two vertical pairs with a normal, hinged in the margin only, a few tone spots, a spectacular piece of great rarity, unique in this positional form, with only six further pairs likely to have existed, and no other errors of this type recorded in the “Peacock” series
