JAPANESE OCCUPATION: 1942 (May) 1 1/2a turquoise-green, type 5 Peacock of Henzada in blue, with the OVERPRINT OMITTED from the top row of a mint top left corner marginal block of six (2×3), therefore with showing the error in two vertical pairs with a normal, hinged in the margin only, a few tone spots, a spectacular piece of great rarity, unique in this positional form, with only six further pairs likely to have existed, and no other errors of this type recorded in the « Peacock » series
