ISLANDS, uprated with 1899 5c green tied by Locle cds, sent by a watch
maker to a passenger aboard the Iile de France” which was participating
in a scientific expedition, however it missed the addressee with
“Retour” in ms and “Parti.” label, and returned to Locle with arrival
cds adjacent, horiz. crease, fine and very rare destination, thought to
be only on of six items recorded to Rhodes at this time
