1899 (Oct 21) Envelope SENT ON THE FIRST DAY OF BOER OCCUPATION, franked with COGH 1893-1902 1/2d and two 1d tied by Vryburg cds, reverse with Wolmaransstad cds, very fine and scarce Note: On the 21st October 1899 a Boer force of 1200 men under Gen Koos de la Rey occupied the town. On the 9th May 1900 the British forces recaptured Vryburg.
