1892 4 1/2d Hand-painted essay in pastel shades of green and lilac and Chinese white on card, 64x84mm, with “POSTAGE / & REVENUE”, endorsed “G.”and “FEB 1/92”, pencilled “perforations”, minor discolouration in lower left corner, a beautiful essay and one of only two made in this design (the other on tracing paper with pen cross and no detailing on the Queen’s head), ex Lady Mairi Bury
