1892 4 1/2d Hand-painted essay in pastel shades of green and lilac and Chinese white on card, 64x84mm, with “POSTAGE / & REVENUE”, endorsed “G.”and “FEB 1/92”, pencilled “perforations”, minor discolouration in lower left corner, a beautiful essay and one of only two made in this design (the other on tracing paper with pen cross and no detailing on the Queen’s head), ex Lady Mairi Bury Catalogue ref: SG 206
