1840 1d Black pl.1b EI with margins cut abnormally in the appearance of a roulette, before being affixed to wrapper (no sideflaps) to Newcastle, neatly tied by a complete upright strike of the red Maltese Cross, reverse with 31 JY 1840 arrival, very fine and extremely unusual, ex Pickering, cert. RPS (1976)
