Description

1840 (May 6) Mulready lettersheet used on the FIRST DAY, stereo A27, from London to Westerham, Kent, neatly cancelled by a good strike of the red Maltese Cross with “T.P. / Southampton” hs below, with the reverse flap which opens out perfectly for display showing the MY 6 1840 cds, a fine and very rare example of the First Official day usage.
