1859, First Coarse Impression 2r red, vertical tête-bêche pair, the inverted unit originating from the third position of seven described by Wickersham, ample even margins all around, mint with original gum, faint imperfections -as encountered in the other tête-bêche pairs known- including ironed out horizontal crease at base and thin spot, a desirable and charismatic rarity, of which less than ten examples are recorded in private hands
