1859 Post Paid 1d. red-brown on bluish, position 5, a largely margined example neatly tie by barred oval hs on large printed circular from Port Louis to Amsterdam, rate notation on front due to France and French entry cds in red, reverse showing crown ‘MAURITIUS/DE9 1859/GPO’ ds, ’26’ within circle Dutch Postmaster cachet and blue ‘1 1/2c./AMSTERDAM’ triangle, very fine, the only ‘Post Paid’ cover recorded addressed to Netherlands, additionally featuring a very rare usage of the printed circular rate to a destination overseas
