1871 (1.2) Folded entire from Volo to Constantinople, franked 2nd Issue 1 piastre, tied by V.R.POSTE EGIZIANE / VOLO / 1 FEB 1871 circular datestamp, backstamped on arrival V. R. POSTE EGIZIANE / CONSTANTINOPOLI / 6 FEB 1871, very fine and a rare usage

Note: Due to the Franco-Prussian War 1870-71 the Egyptian offices around the Aegean sea helped to overcome the momentary disruption in the French mail service
