1869 (22.10) Envelope from Cairo to Salisbury, England, a double weight letter only franked with Great Britain 6d stamp to pay the single weight, tied “B02” and SUEZ / OC 22 69 circular datestamp, manuscript in blue ‘Insufficient’ – extra charge of 1/- (double missing 6d) to pay, circular ‘more to pay’ cachet applied at Suez, backstamped circular datestamp in red LONDON / OC 31 69 and SALISBURY / NO 1 69 circular datestamp in black, a rare cover full of character
