1875 2d Blue pl.15 BL imperf. IMPRIMATUR, right marginal with official manuscript in margin showing plate number and date of registration, one small tone spot in margin, very fine and very rare with only 22 examples removed from the imprimatur sheet, ex Cheygate-Vernon (1947) (SG £7’500) 1875 2d Blue Pl.15. Superb unused right hand marginal imperforate imprimatur lettered BL, endorsed with official manuscript in margin showing plate number “15” and the date the imprimatur sheet was struck “SP.3.1875”. Very rare only 22 examples have been removed from the imprimatur sheet, several of which are in institutional collections. Ex Cheygate-Vernon (1947).
