1879 Envelope sent from Lt John Shiffner unfranked to England via Durban, taxed 6d on arrival in London, endorsed “Special Services”, rare
Note: Shiffner served under major Sandham (M battery), landing at Durban on 22 March. His contingent established Port Durnford and they burnt Ondini Kraal
