1890 Envelope from Antananarivo via Tamatave with “BRITISH MAIL” despatch cds in blue and transit in red, sent by French Packet and franked France Colonies 25c, very minor vertical crease not affecting adhesive or overall appearance, extremely rare, ex Frederick Mayer
Note: Per SG catalogue: “After May 1883 mail from the British community at Antananarivo was sent by runner to the British Consulate at Tamatave for forwarding via the French Post Office”
