1924 Paris. Diary and scrapbook belonging to Marvin Rick, US competitor in the 3000m steeplechase, the diary beginning with his trip to Paris and mentioning “My trial came on the seventh of July. I finished second to Villie Ritola. Two days later, in the final, I finished fourth in the steeplechase”, and continues with his trip around Europe. Scrapbook (no cover), 38pp, incl. German menu signed by athletes incl. CARL DIEM (1936 Sec.
