1888 Envelope to Jersey, bearing a Sarawak 3c brown on yellow, neatly tied by clear SARAWAK/23.AUG.88 cds, in combination with Strait Settlement 10c slate, showing Singapore transit and Jersey arrival bs, an attractive and very rare example of this combination, cert. Holcombe (1988)
Note: Up to July 1897, Sarawak stamps were only valid locally or to Singapore and Straits stamps had to be affixed to the letter for forwarding beyond this point.
