1853 (Apr 12) Envelope from Toddington (Bedfordshire) to the Cape of Good Hope with 1s deep green, cut square, touched on two sides, with “266” barred oval cancellation of Dunstable and Toddington udc alongside, on envelope endorsed “per Indiana”, sent to the Royal Observatory in Cape Town, Dunstable and London bs, seal missing from the reverse, a fine letter and scarce usage of the deep green shade on cover, cert.
